On Easter Monday we decided to take a trip down to central London to visit the museum of Ripleys believe it or not! The museum boasts to have some strange, wonderful ad outright bizarre exhibits collected by a man called Robert Ripley. Ripley collected his information and objects from the 1930’s to late 40’d discovering many unique sights and things. These are now all collected and have been added to over the years at the museum in Leicester square.
There are 5 floors to go through with so much to see and we made our way ooh-ing, aah-ing and eww-ing through it. Have a look at some of the funky stuff we saw!
A few more odd things we came across were dog man, blue faced man and man with double pupils, all apparently of which existed at some point! Weird!
Some of my favourite bits were wedding dresses made of loo roll (let’s hope it doesn’t rain on that special day) and a portrait of the king of pop made entirely of sweets! Yum yum, i resisted eating a bit of his sweet nose 😉
We took a few more snaps
…before going into the mirror maze and black tunnel both of which were hilarious, me and cousin A discovers the maze exit and purposely sent back the rest shouting ‘Dead end!!’ Before escaping through he exit waiting for the rest to figure it out. The black hole was equally fun resulting in dizziness and luminosity.
By the time we left it was quite late so we got back to the local area via a fun cab ride where cousin A decided to drop his phone in the smallest part of the car. We munched a late night feast at my favourite place Tinseltownnnnn!
We came back late and me and my sisters were dropped off at my mums where I intend to chillax a few days and see the little ones on half term. All in all it was a fun day and Ripleys is highly recommended! I definitely learnt a hong or two and saw some crazy eye openers 🙂 x
