A trip to the seaside!

Last week my mum called me and asked if me and my inlaws wanted to come along to a day out that was being planned…..to the seaside! I asked if Amir wanted to go and he did and so it was decided we would go along πŸ™‚

My family decided on Clacton on sea as my dad also had a friend who lived there who he wanted to visit on the way back. It was sooooo nice having an extra day off (god bless bank holidays) and I’m sure pretty much EVERYONE had plans to make good use of the lovely weather that was shining down on us.

On the day we got up early and made out way to mums to pick up my brother, sis in law and gorgeous niece. My parents and sisters had already left by the time we got there and so we ended up meeting them at a local car bootsale, brought back memories as I hadn’t been to one in years! Was good fun though and we even got a few bargains!

everyone stopped every once in a while to coo over baby

After we had finished we then made our way to the beach! I won’t say too much and will let the pics do the talking.

Once we arrived we parked a little further out near some greenery overlooking the sea and say down for a picnic consisting of mum and older sister F’s yummy scrummy homemade food (burgers, chicken tikka, chicken sandwiches and wraps, chickpea and potato chaat, fruit and lots more).

Once everyone’s bellies had been filled we all relaxed a while and played a few games πŸ™‚

mum and nieces, so cute!

After a while we packed everything away and decided to go for a walk towards the sea and sand (full of pebbles mostly). We took lots of snaps along the way…

We finally reached the pier we had been walking towards and once in refreshed ourselves with ice cream and cold drinks! Phew! While we waited for my mum and sister to catch up we had a look at some fish outside the pier aquarium.

Once they caught up we walked about on the pier and enjoyed the sunshine and view.

We finished walking around and made our way back to the cars, my dad still needed to see his good friend so we made out way to his house enjoying the sunset on the way.

We chilled out awhile at my uncles place (we call him uncle) and he brought us some of the tastiest most refreshing cool orange juice I’ve had! He was also a chef and although we didn’t intend to stay long he rustled up an awesome dinner for us of fresh home made pizza, fries, samosas, pastries and more! It was delicious! We all ate and laughed and talked before heading home. By the time we got home we were well and truly knackered from the long day and slept like babies! (Could have done with another day off I was still tired the next morning!).

It was so nice to spend time with my family and see everyone enjoy the weather, good company and have plenty of fun. Would definitely like to do this again! What did you get upto on your extended weekend? X
